wow last night at about 1:45 a.m. I woke up to this extremely loud howling. I know that both coyotes and foxes live around my parts but i didn't know which one it could be I was thinking coyotes because i see them more often. Does anyone know where i can find an audio clip of a coyote howl? then i can tell which it was.

Ah, a screaming fox. I knew foxes make a wide range of vocals, but I don't remember anything about them howling. That scream almost sounds like a howl, though.

Coyotes, to me, sound very much like a dog howling. I can't really tell the difference.
