what indicates that there seems to be some connection to the alopex are the furry paws:

(compare with alopex in winter fur) here a red fox:

the paw does not look that furry.

here some pictures of when they were brought to Gut Aiderbichl:

about the cross breeding: I could believe that they can cross-breed through the genus vulpes but greyfox (Urocyon cinereoargenteus) and arcticfox (Alopex Lagopus) are quite different, imho the face looks more like a redfox than a greyfox, but genetics is not my strength

beside of Gut Aiderbichl I found 4 more marblefoxes:

at Gut Aiderbichl they either say that they are arctic foxes or a cross between grey- and arctoc foxes, is this possible?

a marble fox is a red fox.. just a different color phase, but the EXACT same species as red fox, can be found in the wild but very rare, they are bred in captivity for this color, red fox can come in many colors from black marbles ( white with black mask) red marbles ( white with red mask), saphire blue, pearl, silver, cross, chocolate, and manymore colors, granted most of these colors are captive bred, but the silver and cross colors are found in the wild.
