For a zoo, they seem to have plenty of room to roam in. That's good. The wolves are looking healthy. Thank you for sharing your experience with us, 'James.'

Three wolves is pretty good to keep eachother company.

Hmm, Mexican Grey Wolves? Are you sure you don't mean, Mexican Red Wolf (Canis Rufus)?

Ah, OK, a subspecies of the Lupis.

At any rate, those are some good looking wolfies in those photos. Smile Glad you enjoyed seeing them. They're pretty awesome, arent they!

I've seen wolves in person only once, last year, and I think one of the things that strikes me most about them is how huge they are. If you ever have a measuring tape or a yardstick on hand, stand it upright and check out the 3 foot mark. That's how tall a wolf can stand at the shoulder. Seriously! Shocked Try it! The mesurement doesn't sound all that impressive on paper at first, but when I take a tape measure and try to visualize it, it never fails to blow my mind.

I tried... that is amazing! 3 feet really doesn't seem like much but after you try it, it just makes you want to say wow!

I know! Smile The desk in my room that I'm sitting at now is about three feet high, so I can visualise it as I sit here typing it.

Want another 'Wow!'? try this! put your hand next to a ruler, measure it. A wolf pawprints have been measured up to 6 inches long; they've got seriously huge paws! My hand is about six inches, so about the same size. Again, it doesn't seem tht much on paper, you really have to measure it and see, and then you'll say 'Wow!'.

Wolves are pretty large creatures. The wolves in those pictures are a subspeices of the grey wolf, but there are only 3 different speices of the wolf: grey wolf (dozens of sub-species), red wolf and another wolf that the name constantly escapes me. That's only accurate if I remembered my facts correctly.

Let's stay on topic though Wink Paw Print
