This seems to be a trivial question... but anyone I know, even people experienced about dogs and with many dogs, gave me the right answer... Razz No, dogs doesn't lick the water!

So how dogs (and wolves, foxes, dingoes, etc) drinks? Look here... Cool

(I saw the full documentary... really interesting... but Discovery Channel removed it from Youtube Sad)

Gotta love time-lapse photography. Smile

That was interesting to watch. I always thought the upper surface of the tongue was used as the scoop, but it's actually the underside that is used.

Might I inquire as to what documentary this is from?

It's Time Warp! They film normal things with a high-speed camera. The result is a really slowed down video. If you search on youtube for 'Time Warp', you will find more clips

I saw this episode to, it was really fascinating. Ever wondered how a dog looked like while it's shaking of water in slow motion? Yeah, it's

Time Warp? never heard of it. But the shaking dogs segment was interesting. Sure looked like a lot of fun to film, too!

I always thought that dogs used their tounge as like a spoon type thing, i thought they hold the water in their tounge as they drank it. That was very reveiling, nice find!
