I'm not saying that being a Wolf would be great or cool, probably far from that. But I'm only wondering if being a human is actually a good thing? I mean, 'we' tend to think we are the top of the world, that we are a god and we may decide which species may live and which one may die. And that's maybe why we think any other animals are 'lower' and worser than us because we are on the 'top of the world'?

Do we, as humans, have freedom? We have laws, school and work. We need to be there from time to time, even if we don't want to. Laws are saying what we may and may not do. Is that the freedom we like to have?

With freedom I mean free to go everywhere and free to do want you want. And that kind of freedom I can only find within the wild nature.

I guess we don't have the freedom that wolves do in the literal sense that they can pretty much do whatever they want. And you did a fine job explaining BlueWolf

But do we really know how smart wolves are? They're quite the intelligent animal, but because they don't build or use tools, doesn't mean they're stupid. They're not built to be dependant on tools; they rely on their own body to get the job done (their large paws, long sharp fangs, long legs, etc.). Even if they were capable of building and using tools, would they really defy nature like humans have? We just don't know all that much about wolves.

Yeah, I understand what Bluewolf says. It's something I have pondered myself at times. The irony that we humans are so far advanced in technology and intelligence, yet the humble wolf leads a much more simple and elegant way of life.

I long for the simplicity of a natural life like that, but I know that there are better things in wait for my future as a human. And I maintain that even if I could be a wolf in form, my human soul would prevent me from really being a true wolf. I would be nothing but, to put it metaphorically, a blue-eyed beast.

The main thing that you can't copy is the animal instinct, thats just the amazing thing that animals have that humans really can't copy. Of course we have some instincts too, but animal's have the best ones

Since the past two years or so, I occasionally have dreams in which I am able to shape-shift into an animal, usually either a fox or a wolf. Those are always the best dreams, by far.
