Ok I know I sound noobish and quite stupid, but I was wondering if wolves are really as mean as they show in the movies?

Anyone know?

Wolves are not mean at all. They can be extremely mean looking when they are on a food source with other wolves and aserting their dominace to other wolves.

Am I mean? Are you mean? Is that guy mean?
Of couse there will be some more aggresive wolves than others, all animals are different which some can be more aggresive than their neighbor.

All the movies: wolves are always shown as evil because of the early European stories about wolves, misunderstatements.

Some are. Look at the track record of wolves in the United States. The "Never a proven attack" thing is true. People claim this and claim that, but at the end of the day all they have is speculation. Like I said before, even squirrels have attacked people. Wolves are very special creatures, some have a kinship with humans. The wolf I have a relationship with in the first pictures, would die for me. I didn't raise him, and I have only known him for 5 years, but we might as well be blood. [/img]

Agression ain't naturally in someone or something; it's learned. And it used to be a difficult trait to learn but humans have made it an easy one to get.

Stories like Little Red Riding hood and the Three Pigs and The Big Bad Wolf... I really hate those stories; they're like the foundation of the stereotype of wolves. And the movies are just the branches that help the stereotype keep growing.
