In January 17, 2008 Idaho Statesman paper, there was another article about wolf management in Idaho. Federal protection over wolves ends at the end of Feburary, but Idaho is trying to bypass that by making their own bill that is expected to take affect at the end of this month (January, 2008). Reasoning for it is wolves killed 52 cows and 170 sheep in 2007, and they put a "dent" in the elk/deer population.
