I have seen that there are some furries here on Candidae Forum. I want to keep this forum for Canids, and other animals, but want to have a little section for furries. I will introduce my furry side, I started to notice my furry side within a few years, but i have known, and been interested for about 5-6 years. I have neve been to Anthrocon or anything like that but hope to sometime. Oh, and i am an anthropomorphic fox. Know, please, if your a furry or are now interested, please tell us a little about yourself.

Well, you already know about me kev but since others here don't I will post it again.

I have been a furry for a long time, but never really knew it until someone told me the actual definition of one. I have often been told that I was but the description they gave a furry never applied to me though.

Anyways, I have never been to any conventions or anything but am intirrested to learn about some.

I'm a furry.. officially been a furry for a few months, since October 13th. I'm a white anthropomorphic fox... all white of course with a tail that's a little longer than others being about 4 feet in length. My furry stands at 6'2", not including ears which are about another 4" long. He carreis three swords with him usually, two being strapped around his chest and rests on his back while he carries around the third sword often. He also had incredible speed, sometimes able to go the speed of light.
My furry's name is Kesin. I'm a huge furry fan.

That is so cool Whitefox, all i know for now, is that im an anthropomorphic red fox, but i may make my self a little different. anyways, nice learning about your furry side, im a huge furry fan too.

What does it take to be a furry? i think iam a Flying Red Fox i guess thats a fox with wings hehe

Well, furries are based around anthropomorphics, but being a furry means something different to different people. for some it may be the art, others it may getting to their wild side (animals side), for some its fursuiting, and there is a lot of other stuff. some people have all of that. But If you think your a furry then you are one. I will private message you a general description of what a furry is, but remember that isn't all there is more to being a furry, well at least there is for me.

nice to get to know your furryside Foxxieloves. i can't wait next week im going to get myself a collar, and my fursuit should be done really soon. i already have my paws, in fact im wearing them right now, but i will show yall pics of me in my suit when i get it. i will be able to wear it to the fox festival, where i will be meeting up with a couple furs i met on the internet. and next year i will be going to califur, a convention in southern california. anyway i will stop going on and on, and leave off with, FURRIES RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What exactly is a furrie? I doubt I am one because I know that I am a dream and phantom shifter therian. And I am a fox, mink mix. Wierd combo yes I know but that is who I am, I think we ought to have a thread for anyone here who may just be like me. But I still would like to know more about these Furries.

lol, i take a lot of pride in being a furry too.

im a furry but i have serrios isuse since come one comited an act of anti furry raceism on me and burned my ears tail and paws. so now i just cary a card with pretty much a complete bio on the red fox in my wallet and also i know some things that would be seen as very bad by the other people of this forum (like how to make a tenis ball into a handgrenade or how to make a water gun into a flame thrower.)and my furry name is the same as this screen name and that of my myspace name.

All that my brother an I have been allowed to make is a medieval trebuchet and a potato gun, but those are really fun. My parents won't let us play with weapons and fire together, though.

The term isn't 'racism', but I'm not sure what it would be...discrimination would be a good way to phrase it.
