Arenths woke when some melting snow fell down upon his head. He stood and shook dry, then looked around at the world around him. Spring again, he has only experienced one other spring which was when he was very young.
Arenths looked down at his brother who was sleeping beside him peacefully. He licked Creek on the nose till Creek woke up. Creek stood rose next to his brother and looked around, he was relieved that the long winter is now over. For the first time in months, the sun shown brightly in the sky and only a few, small clouds were in the sky.
Birds fluttered and chirped above and Creek licked his teeth. Arenths saw him do this and looked at him emotionless. Creek saw him look at him and knew that although he was hungry, he didn’t want to kill anything for his meal. This was usually how Arenths looked at Creek right before a meal or hunt which usually meant that Creek would be hunting alone. He didn’t mind, but he liked it better when Arenths joined him. Creek ran off while Arenths went to look for a drink.

An hour later, they both met back up and both ate rabbit kills that Creek got. After they ate their meals, they headed off north up into the mountains. They don’t have their own territory and they were invading another pack’s territory so they couldn’t stay for long.
They walked along the stream heading up into the mountains. Arenths stayed close to Creek as they walked along the stream.

I soared high above the tree tops in the chilly spring air. As I flew I looked for any sign of life below me. I yearned to join a pack of some sort. I owed a pack of wolves my life. They saved my life many years before. So now I look for a pack to join although I am not a wolf myself. I am human but not human at the same time. I am a escaped experiment. As I thought to myself of my horrid past I spotted two young wolves. They were not in a pack but loaners. I could tell by the way they looked that they were related. Brothers most likely. They almost had the same coat of fur. I wanted to join them badly but I couldn't just barge in. So I flew a head of them and landed behind a tree and nexta rock out of thier sight for now. I folded my white wings to my side. I jumped as a bit of snow landed on my shoulder as it fell from the tree infront of me but I brushed it off waited for the brothers to come see me.

I awoke to a beautiful spring morning. I got up and streached and walked out of my hiding place between two very large rocks. I sniffed the air for any rabbits or deer around to eat but instead I smelled wolves and a human. I this I growled and stepped back inside my hiding place. This was the last thing I needed. More wolves to chase me off and a human to shoot at me. I shook my head and sniffed the air once more. They were far away enough so that I could get a drink in peace. So once more I walked out of my hiding place and to a nearby pond that I new of. I took several long drinks and then I looked at my reflection. I growled as soon as I saw it. I have a pure black coat that shines a blood red color. The tip of my ears and tail are a withish grey color as is the undersider of my chin to my belly. My eyes a light blue. I scraped the ground as I looked at my claws. They were a swirl of color red, black, and white. I then looked at my forhead and growled even more. I have a red Celtic Cross on my forhead. It is the main reason I was an outcast an was thought of as a demon. It was also the reason I was named Cross. I backed up away from the pond. Then I sniffed the air for the last time. The wolves and human were near. I was in shock I was too carless and let them come close. But I smiled and sat down. I did not care if they saw me. If they would try to run me off I would kill them. If they were smart they would run. But being a fae they would probably think I'm weak and try to run me off. I smiled even bigger and waited.

Arenths pranced around while they headed up into the mountains while Creek kept going steadily. Creek liked to see his brother being so happy but he did think that it was a little careless.
Creek constantly checked the air for signs of danger, or other wolves. If he smelled anything then he would have Arenths stop and get behind him but there was no scents in the air.
Arenths would somtimes jump in the stream to cause a splash and it would sometimes splash Creek but Creek paid no attention to it and just shook off and continued forward.
It was not for a little while longer until Creek picked up a new scent, one that he never liked before and it caused him to bristle. He barked at Arenths and Arenths came next to him more cautious now and low to the ground with ears back. Arenths knew that something was wrong.
Creek cautiously followed the scent of human until he picked up another scent, that of a wolf. Creek didn't like it here, he had no idea what was going on and why would a lone wolf and human be here. Creek backed up slowly, growling.
Arenths crawled underneath Creek for protection and he sniffed the air too and only smelled the other wolf scent which made Arenths more comfortable. Arenths stood up, but he was still under Creek so Creek almost lost his footing while Arenths followed the other wolf scent.
Creek knew that Arenths would go and meet this other wolf but the sense of the human being so close was very uncomforting so Creek followed his brother slowly and made sure that no harm would come to him.

I wacthed the wolves as they caught my scent. I smiled hoping they would not be afraid. When I saw there reaction though I frowned. I steped out of my hiding place and said to the wolves I mean you two no harm. I only wish to join you two. Then I backed up. I did not now if they had heard me or not. So I just stood there and waited for thier reaction.

I jumped and snarled as I heard the vioce of the human but he wasn't speaking in gibberish. He was speaking wolf! I stood there growling the two other wolves wern't far off from where I was. I did not want to come meet them I wanted them to find me. But within a few minutes I couldn't wait any longer. The hair on my back stood up and I was growling ferociously. I slowly walked to where the voice came from and I was face to face with two wolves and a human with wings? I stared at the human still growling but I couldn't help but look at him. He had wings. Then I looked at his eyes. They were differant from any other I have seen. They were red. The same color of red that my coat shines. He had blond spiked hair. I backed up from the wolves and human. I didn't like what I was seeing. I wanted to run but somthing told me to stay. I continued to growl and look at all of them waiting for something to happen.

Creek saw the human but noticed the difference in this one. Nevertheless, he was not fond of humans; growling and bristling, Creek backed up and tried to signal to Arenths to back up too. But Arenths paid no attention to the human but instead Arenths headed off in a different direction towards a different wolf. Arenths prancing around as usual, came up gently to the new wolf with a smile.
Creek however was still facing toward the human; if both of these newcombers are hostile, Creek would not be able to protect Arenths for that long.

bic: I wacthed as a new wolf appeared she was growling ferociously looking me over real well I looked at her and smiled. Just as she appeared one of the to wolves went to greet her. She was still growling at him and looked as if she was about to bite. I then looked at the other wolf who remained by me, he was now growling like the she wolf. I took a step back. The I looked at the wolf in the eyes and said "I mean you no harm I only wish to join you. How may I prove my self to you?" Then I stood their continuing to wait for his reponse.

I snarled even more as one of the wolves came up to me. He was smileing. I wasn't sure if it was a real smile or a way to distract from the other wolf who could easy come and attack me if I wasn't paying attention. I moved away from the wolf who was smiling at me and towards the growling one. I stopped halfway from the other growling wolf, the smiling one and the winged human. I stopped growling and sat down waiting for anything to happen. If the wolf attacked me I would jump up and fight back if he fought the human I would get the other wolf then him. I smiled for a minute liking my plan. I clamly laid down and continued to wait.

Creek, a little confused to the fact that he understood the human, shook his head and tilted it to the side. His lips covered his teeth again and the hair on his back laid down and he rose higher from the ground. Creek still stared at the human with a cautious eye but no longer took hostility towards him. After a few more seconds, Creek realized that Arenths was as close as he wanted him to be, so he turned his head sharply behind him to see Arenths near the other wolf. Neither of them were taking any hostile action so Creek wasn't worried. He rolled his eyes, thinking how typical of Arenths to go make new friends so easily, and turned back to the human.

Arenths walked close to the wolf and noticed that the other wolf is no longer growling, so Arenths continue to get close and when the other wolf liad down, so did Arenths, right infront of the other wolf's nose. He playfully licked the wolf on the nose and waited to see the wolf's reaction.

Meanwhile, Creek finally turned away from the human, trust him enough to present his flanks to him, and walked over to Arenths.

I was happy the wolf wasn't growling at me anymore but I was puzzled at why he wasn't answering me. The I wacthed as the female wolf stopped grolwing and laid down. I didn't like the look in her eyes they had a warning in them. Then the wolf that was smiling at her laid down infront of her and licked her on the nose. The the wolf that was growling at me went to her to. I stepped towards the wolves one flapped my black wings once and walk forward a little more. I wanted to introduce myself so I lokked at all of them and said " Well I think I shall introduce myslef I am Gabriel. I am a....uhh...Hmm...freak of nature lets just say. And you all are?

I wacthed as the wolf who smiled at me laid down infront of me and licked my nose. I wanted to bite him so bad but the other wolf was coming over to me and now the human was to! I wanted to use my power. I wanted to turn to flame and burn them. The little bit of snow left from winter beneath me melted and my coat shined at darker red as did my croos on my forhead. But no I sat there I didn't growl, I didn't bite, I stared alt the wolf infront of me in the eyes I wanted to now what he was going to do. Where we all to form a pack? Or was this another trick? I ignored Gabriels question of who we where. I simply continued looking the wolf in the eyes hopeing he would look away due to my light blue eyes apperance.

Arenths stared back until he blinked and tilted his sad making a confused whine and licks the she wolf again on the nose. Waiting for a response.
Meanwhile, Creek has come to Arenths and stood over Arenths and looked at the she-wolf then back at the human. Then Creek lied down on Arenths, but with all his senses aware and hightened. He waited for something to happen, good or bad. Hopefully it wasn't bad 'cause he really didn't feel like he could protect his brother against two foes.

I got no results from any of the wolves. I shook my head and sat on a rock beside me. The two males wolves were wacthing the female I could tell she wasn't liking it. I couldn't help but just stare at the cross on her forhead. It reminded me of somthing. I then got up and said Don't any of you talk? I mean I heard of some wolves not talking but this seems different. I now you can talk. Please just say one word. Any of you. I then walked up to the she wolf and nelt down beside her and storked her back, just to see what she would do.

I continued to ignore the humans begging for one of us to talk, although I wanted to tell him to shut up desperately. I grinned when the wolf in front of me looked away and whined. I thought I was getting to him, but then he licked me again. This I could not bear I growled and snapped at him. I hoped he understood that I was not in the mood for games. I then wondered why any of us weren’t talking. As I thought this the human walked up beside me and stroked my back. I jumped up and growled at him then I back up. I could feel my power growing stronger I thought at any minute I would burst into flames but I calmed myself and laid down. I eyed the human and the two wolves waiting to see what would happen next.
