My dog, Oreo, this big, massive, black mix, got hit by a car. She survived but now she's all not herself and has to take pills. She's got some huge scraps on her front legs. Right now, I don't envy her.

That's so sad, I'm sorry that that happened. People need to pay more attention while they are driving.

Oh dear poor thing Crying or Very sad Iam glad hes still alive, it will take him a while to get over the shock of what happened and he will be very scared of cars and roads again so re introduce him to them gradually over a long period and he may get his confidence back hopefully.

Yes careless drivers are so cruel to animals, you only have to look down a busy or not too busy roadearly morning and see dozens of flat hedghogs and rabbits, its time they thought about the animals not their desparation from getting from A to B in xx amount of time!

*HUGS* to your pooch Cool

Really sorry to hear about this, Failia Sad I'm sure she'll pull through but as Flying Red Fox says she may be scared of cars for a while.

-cough- Actually, Oreo isn't scared of cars at all right now. I have no idea why. . . She is getting to be herself again and she's loving all the attention I'm giving her now. ^^ I'm planning to take her on a walk when she's all healed as a treat. ^^

Here's a pick of her a little while back:

Aaah... Smile

Well, it's good to hear that she hasn't been too shaken! I know a dog who was anxious for a long time after his accident.

I'm sad to hear about your dog, Failia. It's never a good thing when such a good-hearted species is harmed. Not good at all... Crying or Very sad

Sorry I'm late on this but I'm sorry to hear about your dog, but I am glad that she is getting better. I just hope she continues to heal well.

Yeah.

For the first few days after, she stopped eating and drinking...then I uh, forced her to. XDDD

Anyway, I'm giving her my own version of physical therapy which constists of me leading her around the yard for ten minutes. Yep. It's special. =3

I am sorry to hear about your dog, and i am glad to hear she is doing better..all too aften i have to go pick up aniaml hit by a car with my job.. but you have to remember that 90% of the time the animal darts out infront of the car with no warning, it is not the drivers fault most of the time.. my question is how was the dog able to get into the road.. was she not contained by a fence or leash?
hope she pulls through ok
