This last Sunday was the fox festival, i volunteered for about 7 hours. Pretty much all i did was tell people about the fox show the some different displays, and ask them if they would like to have a paper on the organization, sign up for the newsletter, or sign up to volunteer. A teacher who i would of had this year (she left) came to see me at the festival. Her and her husband bought me some lunch. She was a really nice teacher, and she drove quite a ways to come see me. I was also able to see two island foxes at the zoo, and i do have some pictures which i will try to post soon. If there is any questions feel free to ask.

People weren't really asking questions, what you have to is go over and start talking to them about it. They did ask about the population and size. I found that pretty much everyone didn't really know about the foxes or to much on the islands, so that was some of the info i talked about. There wasn't really anything new i learned, i had been studying for awhile and what is was talking about is what i studied. There will be more events, one tomarrow and the LA Zoo (that is pretty far from where i live) and right now i don't know about any others. They told me they would tell me when there will be more events so i could come and help.

I can't believe I missed this thread. That's awesome Silver. I wish I could go to a festival similar to that, and I'd definately sign up for everything I can in order to volunteer or get a newsletter or anything.

You're so lucky. I wish I could have gone to a festival like that, let alone be a volunteer in one. Maybe all in good time. Any chance of you helping in another fox, or any wildlife, festival?
