Kite flew over the forest now; he has been flying over great distances for sometime now looking for a new home. Humans have destroyed many of his homes now and he must have been building them to close to their cities fore the dens were always destroyed in order to make more room for new houses. The greed of humans was something that Kit did not like at all, how they destroyed hundreds of homes and kill dozens of animals just to make, what they call “money.”
Kit was at a high altitude and was coming over a great plain that sat on top of a small mountain. He landed on the edge of the great meadow and looked over it. It was a nice place with the forest trees bordering all the edges and all around it, far away were even higher mountains that made a beautiful background. The long, green grass carpeted the meadow with wild flowers all over.
Kit liked this area, the sun shown brightly and it was warm even though there still was snow on the top of the background mountains. It’s early spring; normally Kit’s fur would start to shed to reveal the grey fur beneath but since he was also part vulpes, he kept his white fur year-round even though it did lighten up.
Bugs were all around the meadow though Kit didn’t mind because bugs meant food also they would attract other food such as birds, rats, rabbits, and frogs. Just one more thing that he wanted to check out before he decided to stay, Kit looked for a water source so he traveled into the forest and out of the meadow. He followed his instinct and nose to soon find a spring coming out of the ground and starting its own stream. It would be a good source of water but Kit wanted to follow the stream to check out the area a bit more and to his surprise, he found that the stream connected with a river about after a mile of following it. The stream also had plenty of areas where fish might try to return to, it would also be a great place to hunt.

After getting back to the edge of the meadow, Kit began to dig out his new home though he tried to preserve its look by not throwing up too much dirt on the grass or flowers.
After about three hours, the den was done and well-built. He shook off the dirt and was clean once again with his beautiful white fur.
For a better look, Kit took to the air. He flew around the meadow and realized how big it was and there was even a few deer in the middle of it; it’s been a while since Kit took on a deer, he wasn’t sure if he could again though if he needed to, he’d try. Not many other predators could be seen from the air though he did catch a couple scents. Probably not much predators ever came this high, Kit soon realized that it was a large valley that the mountain borders would be difficult to get over.
The thought of migration reminded Kit of his friends. He hasn’t seen them for a while; he hoped they were doing well. Though he was sure that they were safe; they can take care of themselves but if they ever needed his help, Kit would be sure to get there and help them as fast as he could and would do everything he could do to protect them.
Kit landed back in the meadow again, he did not think much of the other predators because he knew that he would be safe here fore he has fought against many other predators.
Kit rested outside of his new den, he was neither thirsty nor hungry so he just rested there and looked over the meadow.

As Vevina slept peacefully in her tree that she claimed as 'hers' she dreampt of all the fun times that her and her friends had had. In truth, it had been ages since she had seen either one of them, she knew that Kit was looking for a new home, but where was the question. She always dreamed of running into them both again, and she was happy in her dreams. Everything was great and she was fixing to ask Sam to help her master her psychic powers more when a loud crack woke her up.

"What on earth-" she never finished her sentance, a tree fell and hit her tree knocking it over and making her fall to the ground with it. Luckely, nothing had hit her, althuogh she was a little sore, only a few branches had fallen on top of her. As she crawled out of her tight spot, she became aware of men in the area, they were loggers, cutting down trees.

"Kit was right to find a new home, I guess maybe I should as well, "she sighed.

With that she quietly went farthuer into the woods before speading her wings wide open and taking to the sky. It had been a long time since she had felt the air under her wings. Everything was beautiful from up in the sky, she could see for miles around. As she climbed higher and higher she soon began to se mountains in the distance, although they looked like 15 miles or more away.

"That place looks like it would make a great place to stay, at least until I find something to eat," she chuckled, she off on a new journey and she liked it, she just hoped that she would see her friends again.

A small fox runs thru the forest with dogs on her trail. Sam flew by the vixen and as she jumped he made it seem to her that she flew farther then she had thought she could with her gone. He shifts into a swift fox and leads the dogs away. With the hunters behind and the dogs at his heels he changes into a grey fox and climbs a bit oak. The dogs start to bark and howl. The horsemen ride to the oak, they talk among themselves about how they treed a fox.
The wind starts to blow… and the trees start to sway. They hear eerie sounds coming from everywhere. The dogs stop barking, and a orange shadow floats from the trees.
Fear rips into all of their hearts, something is not right. The dogs start to wine as they float from the ground, they cannot run or move. The horsemen fly up from the saddles, they cannot move either. The horses are told to go back home, but the riders need to stay.

The dogs wining and the men screaming, the shadow floats to the ground. It’s a large orange fox with 7 tails.

“Quite!” the voice shouts. “What am I to do with you?”
“We are sorry, we didn’t know what you were” One of the hunters wine.
“So if I was a normal fox then you would still try to kill me?”
“I’m sorry I didn’t even want to come” puts in a younger man.
“You all are responsible for this out rage,” the orange Kitsune with anger. “Perhaps I shall show you the same respect that you show the foxes in this place.”
“We are sorry. We will not repeat this offence. Never again will we repeat this sin.”

The dogs are tossed together in a pile, but the men are held fast. With the last bit of effort the young man says in his heart. “I will never again do this murder again please forgive Me.” with that he floats to the ground and runs his way.
“Now what about the rest of you, will you repent?”
All together “I repent never again will I murder another animal with out cause.”
They fall to the ground and the Kitsune is gone.

Sam flies up ward searching for new deeds to be done. In his mind he knows that his friends are near by. “I will pay my respect to them.”
He flies over the meadow towards where he senses Kit.

Now resting stretched out, Kit stretched his wings. He breathed in the air and looked at the grass that he was lying on to see a mouse go by right by his paw. Though he didn’t move, he wasn’t all that hungry but maybe starting a cache would be good.

Kit stood lazily and trailed the mouse quietly. He had good control of his body and his footfalls were light and did not make a sound. The mouse didn’t suspect anything and Kit easily caught it with his claws out and sharp. Kit picked up the mouse in his mouth and headed back toward where his newly built den was and dug a new hole and dropped the mouse in. Burring the mouse up again, Kit went back to the den and sat down. This place was good for him, there was a good water source with lots of food and the scenery was good.

Kit looked at the sky and saw what looked like a golden bird soaring in the sky, though he knew who it was, Vevina. Kit still sat but did kept an eye on her; if she landed here then he’d go to her.

After around 30 minuets or so Vevina was right at the mountains. She knew she needed to eat soon, and a mountain was the perfect place to find food so she circled a few times around a small patch of Evergreen trees and landed in one of the upper branches.

"What a flight," she sighed, "what a flight..."

As she scanned the forest she noticed all sorts of living creatures. Squirrls were chacing each other, a few deer grazing in a clearing that was 2 football field lengths away from her, birds chirped happily in the trees and there were fish swiming in a nearby stream.

"Hmmm...I could certainly go for a dear right now but I don't think I could bring one down by myself...there is always fish, but I had that yesterday....hmmm, decisions, decisions...." she mumbled to herself quietly. Today was going to be a long day, she could already tell.

She felt she was about to find an answer to her food question when she heard something walking in the forest. She couldn't see who or what it was but she figured that she was safe up in the tree so she just watched and observed as the figure appeared in the distance over the nearby hill.

Kit saw Vevina land on a tree. She's here huh? It'd be great to see her again. Kit walked across the meadow slowly, he was not all that excited because excitment always led to disappointment.

Kit looked into the air again to see that there was another black figure in the sky though the way it flew was rather strange which led Kit to know that Sam was here also. Are they in trouble? Has something happened that I didn't know about? Why would they both be here at the same time?

Kit came to the tree and sat down there to look up at the small fox that sat on the tree limb. "Hello Vevina, I haven't seen you for a long time. Sam seems to be on his way also," Kit said as he turned to look at Sam coming.

As he descended to the ground, he spoke with his mouth.
“Blessings and honour to you my friends.” He turns to each and bows showing respect to both of them. “How do you both fair?” If there was any need or want he was willing to help. Samuel would do what he could for his friends and knew that they would do the same for him.

These two where his closest friends, he considered it a blessing to see them again. Though they were many years younger he knew that they both had a similar heart to his own. In the great place of the Kitsune not many had this similarity, but to find it on the earth, that was a miracle in its self, and here was two of them. With the horsemen never again hunting for mere enjoyment. The Kitsune was free to stay with his friends awhile and perhaps help them in anyway that he could.

"Ah, hey Sam, hey Kit. I'm fine at the moment, except for a few bruises and cuts from where those branches fell on me....I suppose I should tell you that the reason I'm here is because some loggers cut down a tree near mine and it fell on mine while I was sleeping and some branches landed on me...oh well, I'm just glad to see you all again," she sighed.

Vevina was happy, her friends were here and this place was perfect, in fact the tree that she was in was quite comfortable, and she intended to make it her new tree to perch and sleep in whenever she needed some rest.

"Anyways, how are you Kit, Sam?" Vevina hadn't seen her friends in a long long time and she wanted to know how there were doing and what all had happened since she had last saw them.

When Vevina asked how they had been he smiled at the both of them.
“I was to the west of here last week and found one of our kind ripped apart by dogs not eaten, just ripped apart. So took an interest to see why the dogs would do this and I found out that some humans where the cause. The next time I heard the dogs I came running to the sound, then I flew up to get a better look I could see them trailing one of our sisters. As she ran she jumped and I flew her a bit farther to get her out of the sent trail. After I knew that she was well on her way I went back to the trail and made one myself. With the dogs trailing me, I decided to teach some wisdom to them all.” Sam finishes the story talking about how the fear of Kitsune was put into the riders and the dogs, and that they would not dare act in blood lust again.
“So with all that done I sensed that you both where in the area and seen this as a chance to visit you both.” Samuel turns to hear thunder in the background. “Perhaps we should seek some shelter.”
With the clouds darkening the wind starts to blow, a few drops of rain, fall from the sky, but soon the air will be full of rain. “Vevina, I would sagest that you come with us to another place that is less likely to get hit by lightening. I wouldn’t what to hear about how another tree fell on you.” He smiles and hopes that she will understand the wisdom in this.

Kit, still sitting, sniffed the air and notice the electric charge, humidity and tempature drop. For sure a strom was coming though it did not seem severe.

The cool wind blew through Kit's fur and he thought that maybe they all should go back to his den. It was big but it'd be a tight fit for all three of them. At least Vevina was small enough and maybe Sam could turn to a fennec also so then they all could be fit.

"I've got a den built already. It's back that way," Kit said as he looked over his shoulder. "Come, follow me and I'll show it to you both." Kit started walking towards his den; he was walking against the wind and it blowing through his white fur and under his wings. It made him feel like flying again but he stayed on the ground and continued to lead them toward the den.

As the three of them walked toward Kit’s den. On the way the rain started to come down harder. A bolt of lightening and the three of them started to move into the den.

The trees swayed and one came crashing down. It was to the right of Vevina’s tree. With Sam shifted into a fennec kit, there was plenty of room inside Kit’s den. The little green-eyed fennec looked at his friends and smiled. “This is a very nice den you have here Kit. Very nice indeed.” He spoke as he looked around.

The only thing that Sam really wanted was to sleep but in his current state that wasn’t possible. If he were to fall asleep he would auto shift to his much larger self. Sam yawned. I wonder *Yawn* how much longer this storm will last. He was very tired after using so much energy,
“You guys make sure I don’t fall asleep ok? Cause if I do we all could be stuck in here awhile.” He didn’t know if they remembered about him auto shifting to normal.

With that his eyes started to close and he laid down.

As Vevina thought about what Sam had said she saw him start to lay down.

"Sam, you can't lay down, if you lay down you'll go to sleep," Vevina said, "after all, I'm just doing what you told me to," she smiled.

After she thought that she had kept Sam from ging to sleep she turned to face Kit.

"Well, it's been awhile since I've seen ya, what all's been going on?" she asked.

It looked as if he was about to answer but then all of a sudden Vevina was squished against a wall, turns out she hadn't kept Sam from going to sleep after all.

"Aw man," she grunted, "Sam, wake up! You have me pinned and squished against the wall! Wake up!!!!" she tried to yell but couldn't because of her lack of getting that good of a breath. All she could really do in hopes of getting Sam awake was to move around and try to jar him awake by possibly wiggling out of the corner so she could shake him and if not that then, gently but still hard enough to wake him, kick him with her legs if she could.

((OOC- Sorry, I thought that it would add some humor, hope you don't mind.))

Kit also felt a bit crowded hit Sam on the face with his tail to wake him up. "Anyway, I've been travelling for many days now looking for a new place and finally found this one. But I guess you two both have also decided to come here." Kit moved himself around but couldn't get comfortable so he got up and walked outside and lied down though he posistioned his wings so that he didn't get all that wet, most of it runned down his feathers. Still hanging over the den's entrance, he looked in at the other two.

Kite’s den wasn’t the best spot for Sam to rest, considering how small it was now. “Ok… Ok I’m awake.” The large Kitsune wiggled enough so that Vevina could get free.
“I’m sorry guys maybe I should of … *yawn* dug myself a den but I am still so tried.” The great orange fox wiggled about till he had room to transform. But this time he became a red fox, slightly smaller then Kit. Green eyes wide open he walks outside near Kite.
“Kit, Vevina, do you think you could help me make a den of my …” his eyes start to close and he shakes himself awake. “I need a spot out of the rain” struggling now he keeps his eyes open. “Do you guys have any ideas?” his fur was starting to become soaked. “if the three of us work quickly we could have it done in no time I would use my powers to help, but I have drained myself when I took on the horsemen.”

"You should be able to fit in the den now that I'm not in there." Kit looked at Sam through his wings. "Though, I'll help you out when the rain stops, mud is hard to dig through for me." Kit stood up and gave his wings a good shake and all the water dripped off. Even though he was lying on the ground, now that he is standing it looked as if he was as clean as ever and still pure white.

Kit walked up next to Sam and stretched his wing over him so that Sam would stay dry. "You can go back in the den, there's a clay level above it so it'll stay dry. I'll be fine out here."
