There was a lone wolf walking across a cliff. He was no ordinary wolf. He had black wings with a pure white body and was bigger than most other wolves. He was a loaner with thoughts of creating his own pack. Thats why he was on the cliff. More wolves could hear his calling from atop the cliff. He paced back and forth thinking if he should call or not. He flapped his wings impatiently. He climbed a little higher on the cliff. Will they come? Are other wolves even out there? he thought to himself. He sat down and looked across the plains. Nothing. Then he raised his muzzle into the air and let out a long howl calling all lingering wolves to him.

Tazkaera sprinted across the land, darting between the thick-trunked trees, an unsettling look in her eye. She flushed a brown rabbit from its hiding bush and chased it for several yards. Soon, it turned and she continued straight, not caring for a meal as much as the thrill of running. On the air came a howl, and she replied instantly and without reserve, not slowing to make the long and many-noted call. She changed her course slightly, now heading towards the other wolf.

Wraith was enjoying the freedom of flying high above the ground when a howl raced to his ears. Wraith looked down at the ground, but he was rather high above the ground.

Wraith folded his wings behind his back and raced toward the ground; a hundred meters above the top of the trees, he unfolded his wings and glided. Staring at the ground, searching for the wolf who howled, he came ever closer the a cliff wall.

Wraith looked at the cliff wall to see another winged wolf and a fox. Wraith flew towards them and landed. Slowly, he walked over to the two canids.

Wraith gave one final look at the forest below to see another wolf racing towards them.

I was shocked when a fox came but I smiled. Then another winged wolf, like me landed beside me. He had white wings instead of black wings that was the only difference between us. Then as I looked to the ground another wolf was coming. I bowed to the wolf and fox and said I'm Toran. I was looking to start a pack. Anyone is welcome. I said looking at the fox and wolf. I wish to form a pack. Do you two want to join? Then I sat down and looked at them waiting for there answers.

"I'd be delighted to." Wraith looked at the other wolf. He stretched his wings out which made them look much larger. "The sky and earth can become lonely sometimes. I'd love to join this pack. Name's Wraith." Wraith looked at the fox then back to the forest where the other wolf was coming. Three wolves and a fox. "I'm a fair hunter and a good scout, if my skills are ever needed."

Taz saw the cliff as she ran. Immensely annoyed that the formation had the nerve to be right in her way, she adjusted course to a place that was considerably less steep. She reached the others, out of breath but pleased with the run, and dipped her head in greeting. Ey! I'm Taz! Who might you all be? Her eyes dashed constantly to the wolf who was all white.

I was about to tell the others somthing when another wolf came up us and asked us who we where. I bowed and said My name is Toran. I am forming a pack would you like to be in it? Then I smiled and flapped my black wings thinking of my newly formed pack.

Join? Ah, well, sure! I'll stay around with you...She glanced at the fox...animals for a while. Taz edged slowly away from Wraith.

I smiled at the uneasy wolf. Ok the first thing I think we should do is find a cave. What do you all think? Then I got up and looked out over the cliff and looked.

Tazkaera tilted her head to the side, wondering what they would need a cave for. She had never slept in one.

"Sounds great," Wraith said to Toran. He looked at Taz who was backing away from him, he wasn't sure why but he ignored it. "I can help look for a suitable cave." With that said, Wraith jumped away from the cliff's face, flapping his wings strongly and he gained air. He looked at the the cliff, checking to see if caves in the cliff's edge.

Wraith didn't see anything but he was determined to keep looking for a cave, he'd like to give the newly formed pack something.

Tazkaera looked at the cliff-face cave, intrigued by the challenge but knowing it was small, and though very safe, hard to access. She focused on her claws, slowly pushing them longer, shaping them for climbing. She was too tired to try for wings.
