Many people believe this to be the case but sadly it isn't so. The Hunting Act 2004 banned the hunting of wild animals with dogs but many Hunts have chosen to use other means to satisfy their lust for this bloodthirsty 'sport' by using birds of prey instead. Foxes are still subjected to the stress and fear of being pursued and are usually attacked by the bird or shot dead when they are caught. Many Hunts have simply chosen to ignore the ban anyway. There is still a long way to go before the Hunting Act 2004 is properly enforced and fox hunting is banned completely. |
