Ha, very funny. But I think the owners really asked for it. As did the owners of those dogs in the pictures on that forum you linked to, I'm guessing.

A dog is like a small child: You should never leave it alone unsupervised. Yes, dogs can learn to behave themselves on thier own for certain periods of time. But it's not a given.

If you leave a dog (or any pet) unsupervised in an environment where it can potentially make a mess of things or otherwise get into trouble, you do so at your own risk.
