I like this site's comics; they're some of the best that I've read. The site is very cool and you should check it out.

TheWhiteFox....Thank-You! I love that comic...It sure beats some of the comics in our newspaper...

Haha, I never read the newspaper comics. They're just kinda lame. However, that online comic is like almost 1000 strips long, it took me two day straight to read through them all.

I've read those before, it's been a while since I last checked but I like the main characters. Especially Randy, he's so clueless and innocent while they're trying to hook him up with the vixen Razz

I've been immediatly taken in by this strip...I wish they'd put this one in the paper instead of that boring one called "Doonesbury"...this is my new favourite comic..

Its an age old question: If animals could talk, what would they say? Okay, I actually think animals DO talk to each other, whether or not we understand it, or even know it,but the question still remains, what do they say?

It's hilarious watching Randy, whos been around humans all his life, trying to teach Cindy, who comes from the wild and knows absolutely nothing about humans, about human stuff Smile

As for Randy being innocent? well...I suppose thats one way to put it...he -still- has very little clue what Cindy is talking about with regards to having kits.. Rolling Eyes (and somehow, I doubt that'll ever change..)

Well, I just got up to present date, so I guess that means I have read all the strips up until this point. And in only one afternoon, too!

Faux Pas is now officially my favourite comic strip! (that title was previously held by Mutts (

))

I must say, Randy and Cindy make quite the couple (even if they are almost total opposites of each-other..) Now if only they'd really get together like I'm sure everyone who reads this strip is hoping they will someday...

I wanted to add something here....Reading 'Faux Pas' really sparked (okay, I think the word is more like 'reignited') my love for animals...the foxes in particular, Randy and Cindy, I fell in love with them immediatly...I dont know what it is, but cartoon foxes (and other animals too, but especially the foxes!), drawn that particular way, just...its hard to put in words..they're just so....charming is the only real word I can come up with...do any of you know what I mean?

on a side note, I've already learned some things about foxes from that site...for example, the female fox is called a 'vixen' (and thats seen in the comic strip, too..)...I never knew that before...my question now is, why do foxes get it so well? think about it for a sec..a female fox is a vixen (I love that word!), an odd word at first, but a good one. now think some more - a female of just about any other canine is called a b****, right? so why do female dogs get stuck with the demeaning name, while the lady foxes get the cool word, 'vixen'? huh? I'm not sure that's fair....is it?

*tries and fails to come up with a cool word for a female wolf*...so much for that one..

There is something about the style of how they are drawn in that comic that makes it all so much better. So I know what you mean when you say that Wink

Female foxes commonly called "vixen," male foxes commonly called "dog fox." Just for future reference Wink And foxes are called the "cat-like canine" so maybe that's why they don't get the harsh word, "bitch." I dunno really. But foxes are, from what I can tell, the most adaptable animal in the world. Besides, the word "bitch" has become just another chosen word to be used as an insult. Like "fag" which means a bundle of sticks. Confused

well, yeah.....considering way back 2000 years ago, 'dog' was commonly used as an insult (the insult referred to the packs of viscious canines that roamed outside city perimiters and ate pretty much whatever scraps they could find in the garbage, not your average household pet kind of dogs....wilddogs, most likely, or mabye coyotes..), I guess Bitch came to mean simmilar things to that somehow...

and yes, before I came to this forum, I didnt really think of foxes as canines, nor as felines...more like..something in-between....I guess I still have lots to learn...yeah, I looked at the pages with fox facts while I was there...so I knew that...and wait, wasnt Vixen the name of one of Santa's reindeer?(thats what I thought of when I first heard the word Razz )

Yeah. Foxes are dogs, but to me, some of their facial structure is sort of feline related... Also, I used to think that a vixen was a term for a female deer... D:

Enigmatic, isn't it?

The site doesn't seem to be working at the moment. I can't view the previous comics either. So I'm not sure what's wrong.
